About Manasika

Student Emotional & Social Wellbeing and Academic Excellence Initiative

Empowering Minds, Enabling Excellence.

Our Vision

A future where every mind is supported.

To build a future where every student is emotionally healthy, socially connected, resilient, confident and empowered to achieve their full potential.

MANASIKA envisions an education ecosystem in which student wellbeing is regarded as an essential foundation of learning, development and academic excellence, alongside traditional educational outcomes.

We envision schools where emotional wellbeing is identified early, concerns are addressed with compassion and professionalism, and every student has access to the support necessary to thrive.

Our long-term vision is to create a scalable, evidence-based national student wellbeing ecosystem that brings together psychology, education, technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, professional intervention and compassionate human support.

Our Mission

Early identification. Timely support.

To enable the early identification, understanding and prevention of psychosocial challenges among students through evidence-based psychological assessment, intelligent analytics and timely professional support.

Our Purpose

Every student carries an individual emotional, social and psychological journey—academic performance alone cannot fully reflect it.

MANASIKA exists to help schools and educational systems understand the human dimension behind the student—their emotional wellbeing, relationships, resilience, coping mechanisms, confidence, life satisfaction and academic experience. Our purpose is to ensure that concerns do not remain invisible until they become crises.

Focus areas

Our Core Mission Areas

01

Early Identification

To identify important psychosocial and wellbeing indicators at an early stage, enabling appropriate professional attention before concerns become more serious.

MANASIKA is designed to support early identification—not to replace clinical diagnosis or professional psychological assessment.

02

Prevention

To strengthen preventive approaches to student emotional and social wellbeing by identifying both risk indicators and protective factors.

The focus is not merely on identifying problems, but also on understanding what helps students remain resilient and thrive.

03

Holistic Student Development

To promote an educational approach that recognises the interconnected relationship between:

Emotional Wellbeing + Social Connectedness + Resilience + Coping + Academic Self-Efficacy + Academic Performance

MANASIKA seeks to complement academic education with emotional and social development.

04

Professional Intervention

To establish pathways through which identified concerns can be appropriately referred to qualified counsellors, psychologists and mental-health professionals.

Technology can identify patterns and provide insights.

Human professionals provide understanding, empathy, judgement and care.

MANASIKA therefore places professional human intervention at the centre of the support ecosystem.

05

Evidence-Based Decision Making

To provide educational institutions and policymakers with reliable, aggregated wellbeing insights that can support informed planning, resource allocation and targeted interventions.

The objective is to enable educational governance to consider student wellbeing alongside academic indicators.

06

Continuous Monitoring

To recognise that student wellbeing changes over time.

MANASIKA seeks to facilitate periodic assessment and monitoring so that schools can understand changing patterns and evaluate whether wellbeing interventions are producing meaningful improvement.

07

Building Resilience

To strengthen students' ability to manage adversity, cope with stress, seek support, maintain positive relationships and develop confidence in their ability to overcome challenges.

MANASIKA therefore focuses not only on vulnerability but also on strength, resilience and protective factors.

08

Creating Emotionally Safe Schools

To support schools in creating environments where students feel:

Safe. Respected. Connected. Heard. Supported. Valued. Hopeful.

An emotionally safe school is an environment in which students can learn, express themselves and seek help without fear of stigma or judgement.

What we stand for

Our Values

  • Compassion

We believe every student deserves to be heard with empathy and without judgement.

  • Prevention

We believe early understanding can prevent escalation and create better outcomes.

  • Evidence

We are committed to psychological science, psychometrics, research and responsible data interpretation.

  • Integrity

Student wellbeing information must be handled with confidentiality, responsibility and ethical care.

  • Inclusivity

Every student, regardless of background, ability or circumstance, deserves access to wellbeing support.

  • Human-Centred Technology

Technology should strengthen human care—not replace it.

  • Dignity

Every student must be treated with respect and protected from labelling and stigma.

  • Continuous Improvement

We believe student wellbeing programmes should be continuously evaluated and improved through evidence.

How we work

The Manasika Approach

MEASURE → UNDERSTAND → IDENTIFY → SUPPORT → INTERVENE → MONITOR → IMPROVE

  1. 01

    Measure

Understand the student's emotional, social and academic wellbeing through structured assessment.

  2. 02

    Understand

Analyse the factors influencing wellbeing, resilience and academic experience.

  3. 03

    Identify

Recognise indicators requiring attention and appropriate professional assessment.

  4. 04

    Support

Connect students with teachers, parents, counsellors and appropriate support systems.

  5. 05

    Intervene

Enable qualified professionals to provide timely and appropriate intervention.

  6. 06

    Monitor

Track wellbeing over time and understand changes following intervention.

  7. 07

    Improve

Use evidence to strengthen individual support, school programmes and educational policies.

Our commitments

A partner to students, schools, and systems.

To Students

MANASIKA believes that:

  • Every student has potential.
  • Every student deserves to be heard.
  • Every emotion matters.
  • Every concern deserves attention.
  • Every strength deserves recognition.
  • Every child deserves a safe environment in which to grow.

And importantly: No student should feel that they have to face their struggles alone.

To Schools

MANASIKA seeks to help schools transition from a predominantly academic-performance-oriented model towards a more comprehensive Student Wellbeing and Academic Excellence Model.

We aim to equip schools with:

  • Evidence-based wellbeing assessment
  • Psychosocial analytics
  • Early-identification mechanisms
  • Professional referral pathways
  • Counselling support
  • Teacher awareness
  • Parent engagement
  • Student awareness programmes
  • Periodic monitoring
  • School-level wellbeing intelligence

To Government

At the system level, MANASIKA seeks to provide an evidence-based framework through which student wellbeing can become an integral component of educational planning.

Aggregated and appropriately governed data can potentially help policymakers understand:

  • Emerging wellbeing trends
  • Regional variations
  • Priority areas
  • Resource requirements
  • Intervention needs
  • Programme effectiveness
  • Changing student wellbeing patterns

This can support a transition towards: Evidence-Based Student Wellbeing Governance.

Technology philosophy

Insight from technology. Care from people.

MANASIKA brings together:

Psychology + Psychometrics + Statistics + Artificial Intelligence + Data Analytics + Human Expertise

Artificial intelligence and analytics are used to support the interpretation of structured information and identify meaningful patterns.

However, technology does not replace professional judgement.

  • Technology provides the insight.
  • Professionals provide the intervention.
  • Schools provide the environment.
  • Families provide the support.
  • Students remain at the centre.

Long-term aspiration

Our Long-Term Aspiration

MANASIKA aspires to evolve into a comprehensive National Student Wellbeing and Academic Excellence Ecosystem.

The long-term objective is to establish an integrated framework connecting:

  1. 01Students

  3. 03Teachers & Parents
  4. 04Counsellors & Psychologists
  5. 05Educational Institutions
  6. 06District Administration

  • We will strive to ensure that no student's emotional struggle remains invisible.
  • We will promote prevention over reaction.
  • We will encourage support over stigma.
  • We will promote evidence over assumption.
